Judy Rossignuolo-Rice

Judy has a BFA and MA in Theatre and Speech and the Performing Arts.  She has been a professional actor, singer, director, and acting coach for over 40 years.  Favorite roles include Ethel in ON GOLDEN POND, Sister Aloysius Beauvier in DOUBT, Golde in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Marjorie in TALE OF THE ALLERGIST’S WIFE, Rosemary in PICNIC, Ruth in COLLECTED STORIES, Kate in BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, and Beatrice in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE. 

Coming this fall, she will appear as Sister Mary Hubert in a production of NUNSENSE at the New Theatre and Restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas.

Her national commercials include: Popeye’s, PureWick, AT&T U-verse, Sears, and she can be seen as the “Cat Lady” for Method Cleaning Products, as well as print and voiceover work, including the voice of the “Tournament Mistress” for JackBox video games.  

Directing credits include ART, TALKING WITH, CROSSING DELANCEY, LOVE AFFAIRS AND WEDDING BELLS, OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS, BELL BOOK AND CANDLE, CROSSING DELANCEY, as well as award-winning productions of THE GRADUATE, ANNIE, BILOXI BLUES, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, and THE WIZARD OF OZ in Europe as part of the United States Military’s Department of Morale, Welfare, & Recreation. 

She is a highly acclaimed cabaret performer, with sold-out performances of her original one-woman shows, “They Shoot Sopranos, Don’t They?” and its sequel, “An Alto’s Lament.”  Other original cabaret shows include “Once Upon a Time,” “Broadway, the Beatles, and More,” “Musical Duos Through the Years,” “When Harry Met Irving,” and “Here Comes Treble.” Cabaret Scenes Magazine exclaims “She can – and did – fill up the Skokie Theatre with her substantial alto belt and embracing personality.  She can be earth mother one moment, vampy the next… and reflective in another.”
